“Sarah is uniquely skilled and can provide the healing and support that so many need.”

As someone who has known Sarah in both a personal and professional capacity for many years, I can confidently endorse her skills and expertise. Her warmth, compassion, understanding, and humor create an environment that allows for much connection and growth. Her knowledge of the modalities used and ability to explain her approach to the work create feelings of safety and trust. — Abby Lalone, M.S., LCMHC, LMHC

  • Brainspotting (BSP) is a model for deep and lasting change based on the discovery by Dr. David Grand that “where you look affects how you feel.” This intervention allows us access to the subconscious emotional and body-based parts of our brain that are connected to our “fight, flight, freeze” responses. We store trauma on this subconscious level, which means that our internal alarm system goes off and we experience a stress response (anxiety, panic, rage, shut down, etc.) anytime our brain picks up a signal that reminds us of a painful or traumatic event. Most often, these signals are false alarms long after the original stressor took place. BSP helps us to target and reorganize our internal alarm system, so that we no longer find ourselves experiencing stress responses when faced with false alarms. Ultimately, leading to an improvement in overall emotional and psychological wellbeing.

  • Yes, Brainspotting is equally as effective via Telehealth as it is in person.

  • No. While I do use Brainspotting in my clinical practice, you do not need to be a therapy client nor do you need to be a Maine resident. I provide Brainspotting as an offering outside the scope of my clinical practice in order to provide support for anyone seeking the benefits of BSP.

“Sarah has been an asset to my existence, to my growth, and empowerment.”

I’ve received many services from Sarah and, most recently, have done Brainspotting. I am really understanding who I am now and am reclaiming my nervous system. Sarah is subtle and direct, quiet and bold. Her Brainspotting stick is a magic wand and she is truly a High Priestess. The balance she has of intuition and information has brought out the best in me and helped me to love the “worst.” If you really want to commit to yourself, commit to a series of Brainspotting sessions with Sarah. She will nurture your best parts, shed light on your resistance, and lead you to true expansion without judgement.
